"Delta Dawn" is a song written by musician Larry Collins and country songwriter Alex Harvey.[a] The first notable recording of the song was in 1971 by American singer and actress Bette Midler for her debut album. However it is best known as a 1972 top ten country hit for Tanya Tucker[3] and a 1973 US number one hit for Helen Reddy. Though the song is attributed exclusively to Collins and Harvey, the melody of the chorus is in fact nearly identical to the Christian hymn Amazing Grace.
Reddy had reached number two with both "I Don't Know How to Love Him" and "I Am Woman" in her native Australia; "Delta Dawn" became her first number one hit there, spending five weeks at the top of the Kent Music Report in August and September 1973.[10] "Delta Dawn" also marked Reddy's only chart appearance in South Africa, reaching number 13 in the autumn of 1973.[11]

"Eres tú" (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈeɾes ˈtu]; "You Are") is a popular Spanish language song written in 1973 by Juan Carlos Calderón and performed by the Spanish band Mocedades, with Amaya Uranga performing the lead vocal.
The 1973 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place on 7 April 1973 and was held at Luxembourg (city), the capital of Luxembourg. The song was performed seventh on the night, following Monaco's Marie with "Un train qui part" and preceding Switzerland's Patrick Juvet with "Je vais me marier, Marie". Composer Juan Carlos Calderón himself conducted the live orchestra. At the close of voting, the song had received 125 points, placing second in a field of 17, after Luxembourg's own Anne-Marie David with "Tu te reconnaîtras" with 129 points. The United Kingdom's Cliff Richard with "Power to All Our Friends" finished third with 123 points. "Eres tú" was succeeded as Spanish representative at the 1974 contest by Peret with "Canta y sé feliz".
- Artist: Brooks & Dunn- Billboard rank: #58"My Maria," which was originally recorded in 1973, won Brooks & Dunn their second Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Vocal Group or Duo. Billboard also declared "My Maria" the #1 country song of the year.
The controversial song describes a romantic rendezvous between a man and his much less-experienced girlfriend. Though there was a public outcry about the song's raunchy lyrics in 1973, it became Conway Twitty's only song to cross over from the country charts to the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at #22.
Though the song was originally recorded in 1973 and has been covered by several country stars since, it's the 2003 Sara Evans and Deana Carter version that climbed the charts. The song serves as a warning to the loved ones of cowboys, while also paying tribute to the hardships of the job.
Hunter Hayes broke a record held since 1973 as the youngest male artist to reach #1 when "Wanted" topped the Hot Country Songs chart. His second single, a love song, helped him win the CMA award for Best New Artist in 2012.

This song is released in 1973 and it`s about a hitchhiking journey south along the eastern coast of the United States from New England in the northeast through Roanoke, Virginia, with the intended destination of Raleigh, North Carolina, where the narrator hopes to see his lover.
Croce, who was from Philadelphia, wrote several hit songs between 1966 and 1973. His life ended tragically when a single-engine plane he was in with five others hit a tree upon takeoff. He was just 30 years old. 2ff7e9595c
